Position objective and summary

  • Responsible for overseeing technical projects from conception to completion and work closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.

Main tasks /activities /responsibilities

  • Work to provide timely & accurate quotation to customers' enquiry by coordinating with the team for pricing adjustments to better respond with the changing market conditions and competitors' move.
  • Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, as well as identifying the necessary resources required to complete the project.
  • Project engineers must stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. They may conduct research and analysis to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with a project.
  • Work with teams from various departments, such as lifting, welding, steel fitting, and quality assurance, to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records of project progress, documenting design changes, and preparing reports for project stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Support the undertaking of projects with the Operations team to ensure timely implementation, completion and delivery of projects.
  • Work with the Service team on the After-Sales support to customer at sites after completion and delivery of projects.
  • Ad hoc assignment or project assigned by the GM or the Company.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping, environmental and safety practices.

Job requirements

  • A Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is typically required.
  • Employers typically prefer candidates with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant software tools, such as CAD 2D/3D, CAM, and project management software.
  • Knowledge of common types of steel fittings, piping fitting and the work involved in their installation, maintenance, repair, and modification.
  • Candidates must have strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, as well as manage resources, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
  • able to analyze technical data, identify trends, and draw insights to make informed decisions and solve complex problems.
  • must have strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • must be able to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and priorities, and to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • must have a high level of professionalism, including a strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • with personal transportation will be a plus
