The Senior Site Engineer (Roadworks) is responsible for assisting with traffic diversions/ roadworks projects and related aspects of the project.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Monitor and supervise junior engineer and ensure compliance with the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors
- Manage road works sub-contractors and coordinate Production team.
- Involved in utility diversions/ utility handling
- Preparation of basic program (estimated targeted) for the site team to follow accordingly.
- Ability to resolve drawing discrepancies prior to start of work and issue the coordinated structural drawings for construction and to raise technical issues to Structural Consultants.
- Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
- Involve in coordination between sub-contractors/vendors/departments and anticipate labour /material/equipment demands to meet schedules
- Involve in planning all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
Skills & Requirements
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Singapore underground MRT / Civil projects is an advantage
- Minimally have completed 1 cycle of the project with at least $100M
- Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works
- Experience in drain diversion will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of common civil construction material such as asphalt, reinforced concrete, steel, etc will be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Project
- Good knowledge on method statements
