Responsibilities
Develop and manage the project contract strategy with the Project Manager, the management team and the quantity surveyors
Provide inputs to help strategize and resolve complex contractual issues
Advising/ensuring contractual compliance requirements, e.g. contractual deliverables, performance bonds, insurances etc
Draft and review of contractual correspondence and appropriate contract documents - subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
Prepare, monitor and co-ordinate contractual claims and keeping of subject files of the same
Ensure all contract procedures are carried out according to site requirements
Liaise with government authorities as required
Requirements
A degree that is suitable for the role of Contract Manager
Professional membership/qualification is desirable
Minimum of 8 years contract management on major infrastructure projects
Thorough knowledge of the Singapore public contracts
Experience in operating at a management level on a major project or in a large construction company
Ability to liaise/co-ordinate internal and external legal counsel and experts
Excellent negotiation, organizational and communication skills
