Job Summary
In this role, you'll be at the helm of software system development, steering the entire process from inception to deployment. Your responsibilities will span from gathering requirements to orchestrating design, implementation, testing, and rollout. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring software developers, ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project leadership, including completion of at least one full SDLC cycle in large-scale systems development;
- Exhibit a comprehensive grasp of IT SDLC processes and a command of Project Management best practices;
- Technical experience in delivery and supporting Java platform and emerging technologies;
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to manage project team members across multiple industries;
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, workflows, and artifacts such as JIRA and CI/CD;
- Experience coordinating teams across multiple locations, countries, and time zones for project delivery
- Keep abreast with emerging technology trends and adaptable to fast changing environment;
- Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to influence key decisions, mediate conflicts, and build consensus both internally and externally;
- Strong skills in communication, consulting, negotiation, and conceptualization.
Desired Skill-set
- Experience in leading or contributing to open-source projects;
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools;
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CITPM).
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end project management on projects to ensure projects & enhancements are delivered successfully within budget, on schedule;
- Be the single point of contact for all project matters across all project phases, including pre-implementation, implementation and post-implementation activities;
- Oversee the planning and execution of systems projects, including project costing, timeline, resource management (include partners, vendors & contractors);
- Solicit new initiatives, additional change requirements and manage the project within defined constraints to meet specified requirements and customer expectations;
- Define and manage the various work breakdown structure WBS) with the engineering team, ensuring effective task assignment and progress tracking;
- Oversee the entire software development life cycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards;
- Worked closely with platform (deployment) team to ensure smooth production operations and scalability;
- Drive and resolve support activities, highlight potential risks to act proactively and resolve incident tickets;
- Manage, negotiate and resolve project risks effectively to ensure deliverables are on track;
- Communicate all key project plans, changes, risks and issues to all relevant stakeholders timely and accurately;
- Collaborate with and manage all project stakeholders, such as sponsor, business users, other IT teams and external vendors, for project activities.
