PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director, the role of the Head of Category Management (Perfume & Cosmetics) is to establish and implement Perfume & Cosmetics strategy and commercial plans for the APAC region. The role may also represent the company to the various governing airport agencies, develop and maintain relationships with vendors and distributors serving airport and transportation locations across APAC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish the APAC Perfume & Cosmetics category strategy and identify APAC opportunities
- Qualify Perfume & Cosmetics business opportunities in the APAC markets and locations where Avolta has concessions and are developing concessions
- Work with business development teams to develop the business plan commercial strategy, including space planning, store development, assortment for target locations
- Develop consumer and market intelligence for Perfume & Cosmetics
- Guide negotiations for regional agreements with brands to improve terms for the business
- Ensure timely submission of brand documentation and listings
- Analyze sales data, trends and product forecasts to improve business performance
- Partner with country commercial teams to resolve issues and ensure assortment and inventory objectives are carried out
- Monitor inventory performance and work with respective buyer(s) on assortments, stock issues, and interventions for discontinued and/or non performing segments and SKUs
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Demonstrated experience of 8-10 years in the beauty/perfume/cosmetics (from duty free/duty paid or domestic business)
- Physical retail experience is more critical and relevant, an e-commerce background is a plus
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Strong communicator who is able to present and share information with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated customer focus and cultural intelligence
- Reliable, results driven and great relationship builder
- Possess analytical and critical thinking
- Adept negotiator with deal structuring skills
