Responsibilities
- Recognize common problems in financial data engineering and implement reusable self-served components to speed up the data onboarding process
- Address bottlenecks and improve the current data platform architecture based on the ELT concept
- Work closely with analytic engineers and business stakeholders to:
o Address root business problems and advise them with proper data models to solve them
o Propose/design scalable data models to tackle new requirements
o Ensure data reliability of these models - Any other ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a relevant position
- Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Python / Java / Scala
○ Aware of functional programming principles - Proficient in analyzing and data transformation using SQL
○ Care about writing damn good SQL - Good thinker:
○ Ability to design and visualize the technical solution without coding
○ Ability to communicate with stakeholders to break down business requirements into essential, actionable items
