Job Description
Clinical Care
- Comply with approved standards of therapy practices
- Assist in the delivery of therapy services for residents as planned by the therapist
- Participate in activities to improve the quality of care
- Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and report residents’ needs to the therapist/ nurse
- Assist in oral feeding of residents without swallowing disorders
- Assist in the transfer and pottering of non-ambulant residents
- Assist and participate in residents’ physical, recreational, occupational, social and therapy programmes
- Alert therapist/ nurses to emergency situations, incidents and behaviour change of residents. Where necessary, take first responder actions to mitigate the emergency and situation
Quality
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, e.g. cleaning and disinfecting therapy equipment
- Participate in staff development programmes
- Is responsible to be familiar with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and all emergency protocols
Administration
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy rendered and confidentiality of residents’ information
Job Requirements
- GCE N Level / WSQ higher certificate in therapy services / Career Readiness Certificate (Operations Level) or equivalent
- Entry level
- Characteristic & personality
- Able to communicate with team members and maintain good teamwork
- Suitable for older workers as job duties mostly interactive with elderly residents
- Knowledge of Mandarin/ Hokkien dialects is an added advantage as interaction with Chinese speaker of elderly residents is required
- Able to physically handle non- ambulant residents
