Execute the activities of the front-of-house work stations and serving counter area. He/She carries out mise en place, cleans utensils & work areas and performs other day-to-day operations.
Each day brings its own unique experiences, your standard responsibilities will be the following:
Key Tasks
- Clean/ sanitise work stations at the start and end of work shift
- Ensure that utensils and serving ware are cleaned/ sanitised and ready for use & serve food
- Assist with basic food preparation and packaging
- Plate small dishes such as snacks, appetizers and/or desserts
- Transfer cooked items from kitchen to warmer cart cabinets & serving counters safely and efficiently
- Carry out mobile cart service
- Collect orders and payments via the point of sale
- Maintain cleanliness, tidiness of clearing point; empty trash & transfer utensils, crockery for dishwashing
- Monitor temperature of warmer cart cabinets & beverage chillers and report any maintenance and repairs
- Replenish and arrange F&B Items, packaging, cutlery to their assigned shelves/ stations
Functional / Technical Experience
- Previous experience in catering/ quick service/ cafeteria
- Food Safety and Hygiene and Basic Food Allergens
- Workplace Safety and Health for Food and Beverage Operations
- Customer Service Experience
- Teamwork and Interpersonal Skill; communicates easily/ openly with integrity
- Attentive, meticulous and problem solving
- Multicultural awareness and able to work and thrive within a culturally diverse environment
Qualifications
- WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene-1
- Minimum 'N' Level or NITEC in related field is recommended
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the Food & Beverage industry
