Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives. Serve as a key advisor to senior management on financial issues affecting company strategy.
- Comprehensive Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including planning, management, and analysis to optimize financial health and support business expansion.
- Advanced Financial Operations: Supervise sophisticated financial tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Lead the production of detailed financial reports, ensure adherence to financial laws and standards, and oversee company audits, taxation, and annual financial submissions.
- Inventory and Asset Management: Refine inventory control procedures to ensure accurate reporting and effective system reconciliations.
- Cash Flow and Liquidity Management: Develop models for cash flow and liquidity that support ongoing company operations and strategic initiatives.
- Risk Management and Hedging: Establish and enforce risk management policies, including comprehensive currency and commodity hedging strategies.
Professional Requirements:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is highly regarded.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in financial management, with substantial leadership experience in the commodity trading or manufacturing industry.
- Skills:
- Expertise in financial software, including ERP systems and Xero.
- Proven ability to manage international trade financing, including detailed handling of letters of credit.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and advancing a finance team.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, currency hedging, and strategic financial planning.
