Job Responsibilities:
The engineer will be engaged in various solarization programs/projects for buildings/properties, focusing on:
- Evaluating the structural design of buildings/properties to assess suitability for solar photovoltaic (PV) panel installation on roofs. Developing innovative solarization solutions/designs to overcome technical constraints.
- Conducting feasibility studies for implementing innovative solarization solutions/designs in unutilized building/land spaces.
- Managing and overseeing the implementation of roof solarization projects, including supervising physical PV installation works.
- Civil and structural (C&S) engineering works for building development projects, Renovation & Refurbishment (R&R), and Additions & Alteration (A&A) projects. This includes planning, design, tender preparation, reviewing external consultant proposals/designs, and attending project meetings.
- Providing technical support and advice to internal departments and clients.
- Offering technical support for non-building development tasks such as innovation studies, evaluation of new building systems or technologies, C&S improvement/initiatives, and knowledge management.
- Assisting the Supervising Officer (SO) in ad-hoc technical tasks and projects as directed.
Job Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of experience in design and project management for building structures projects.
- Experience with large contract values for building structure projects.
- Possession of a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a University recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) and/or accreditation recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
- Proficiency in design software such as PLAXIS, SLOPE W, ETABS, SAFE, TEKLA, Staadpro, Prokon, RAPT, SAP will be advantageous.
