RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure compliance and practice of Company’s QEHS Management System for the project
· Issuance of Personal Protective Equipment to workers at site
· Recommend measures to rectify all EHS irregularities
· Report & submit Site Environment Control Report to the Project Manager
· Advise site staff of safety matters
· Conduct safety audits and put reports
· Conduct safety inspections and put up report on follow-up actions
· To supervise safety and promote safety conduct
· Act as secretary of Workplace Safety and Health Committee
· Preparation of Site Environmental Control Programme
· Liaise with appointed auditors on the QEHS Management System
· Liaise with Ministry of Manpower on all safety issues
· Ensure that all safety regulations and housekeeping methods are always practiced at site
· Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of EHS are in proper working condition and do not pose hazard’
· Assist the authorities to investigate all EHS irregularities
· To inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work
· Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of staff/workers in maintaining a good environmental health safety standard at site
· Investigate accidents, put reports and recommend remedial actions
REQUIREMENTS:
· Candidate must possess at lease a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
· At least 3 years of working experience preferably
· Full-time position available
· Must be registered WSHO/ECO
