In the face of rising global health crises such as COVID-19, a rapidly aging population and increasing healthcare consumption and costs, we have to be able to leverage on healthcare data to drive decisions and improvements to care quality, delivery, and value.
You will be part of a team that develops strategies and supporting policies to facilitate the discovery and exploitation of health technology and healthcare data. This team also develops frameworks to govern and manage the security and protection of data. Within the constantly evolving regulatory and policy space of technology, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires managing multiple priorities and stakeholders with complex needs at the same time.
What you will be working on
• Formulate policies and frameworks to guide the Health Data Strategy to use of data enhance MOH’s management and exploitation of health data to achieve our policy, clinical and operations goals
• Review and refine on-going programs and efforts to empower stakeholders and increase ownership of data security and data protection risks and compliance.
• Assisting with data request evaluations and processes, including personal data protection impact assessments, data security risk assessments
• Resolving ad-hoc stakeholder queries on data governance issues
• Consolidate, track and report progress of data security and protection programmes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate approaches to protect data and to update senior management on data protection and risk mitigation.
What we are looking for
• Minimum of 5 years experience in data, preferably in the healthcare and/or public sector.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Health Informatics or related field.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategies and policies. Strategic thinking to reimagine Health Data Strategy as well as an ability to work through the operational details needed to implement the strategy
• Meticulous, able to work with granular data.
• Good understanding of the use of data in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent command of the English language with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and balance conflicting demands, while managing their expectations
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
