Job Description
- Analyse potential buy-out deals and express and recommend investment decisions to the fund on behalf of the Marubeni group.
- Lead value-creation activities of the portfolio companies by leveraging their network in the Marubeni group and insight or industrial knowledge.
- Manage subordinates’ processes in building relationships with fund managers in Southeast Asia for future GP participation.
- Manage subordinates’ process in developing an expansion plan for Marubeni’s Japan buyout fund business into the SEA region (Both from the investor base and deal-sourcing perspectives.)
- Manage subordinates’ process in tapping and sound potential investors who may be interested in Marubeni’s Japan buyout fund.
- Discuss co-investment opportunities and regularly exchange information with relevant Marubeni Group.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in banking and Financial investment or its equivalent
- Business-level Japanese (JLPT N1) for reporting, communication with HQ and Japanese GPs
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as an investment committee member
- 3-5 years of working experience as a deal leader in fund GPs
- preferably with working experience in Japanese GPs
