Job Description
NUS is looking for a Senior Research Fellow to work on Digital Twin of microgrid (MGDT) with energy management system (EMS).
The job requires the candidate to build the digital twin model of the hybrid microgrid with EMS with different operating conditions of sub-system and its associated equipment before actual implementation. Further, this MGDT will be used for the EV applications, therefore, Smart EV Charging, Energy Storage Management System, Energy Storage System, etc to provide unified experience for operation team will also need to be considered.
Qualifications
• Possess a recognised PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with specialisation in microgrid, or EMS.
• 3 or more years’ postdoctoral research experience.
• Able to work independently by conducting experiments alone or in teams when required, and possess strong experimental validation experience
• Familiar with working of renewable energy systems, digital twin, energy storage, optimisation and control algorithm development.
• Familiar with state-of-the-art simulation platforms such as MATLAB/Simulink.
• Able to work on multiple tasks and projects in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment, with industrial partners, governmental agencies and collaborators.
• Able to draft research proposals, assist the PI in applying for research grants, and manage the research funds.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Open to fixed-term contract.
