Manager - HSE and Crewing
Primary Responsibilities – HSE – With one direct report (HSE Executive)
- Report to Head Ship Management
- Function as Alternate DPA/ACSO of the Fleet and responsible for arranging Audits and surveys across Fleet as well as DOC Audit.
- Responsible for ALL ISM related Certification and Documentation in office as well as vessels.
- Function as Liaison officer for all matters dealing with Class and Flag.
- Monitor PSC inspection and deficiency and correspond with relevant parties to ensure compliance with international rules. Consolidate PSC / FSI deficiencies of the fleet, analyse same and put in place measures for avoiding re-occurrence.
- Responsible for all HSE monthly reports
- Analyse data on Injuries, Incidents and Near Misses and share with fleet through alerts.
- Assist / Carry out other tasks as assigned by Head of Ship Management.
Primary Responsibilities – Crewing - With one direct report (Crewing Executive)
- Ensure that Crew Matrix and planning is updated on daily basis and follow up on Recruitment and Retention of Crew.
- Ensure that Crew Documentation and Certification is kept updated through regular liaison with manning agents.
- Responsible for other Crewing functions – interview/selection/day to day crewing functions.
- Assist / Carry out other tasks as assigned by Head of Ship Management.
Requirements
- Preferably sailed as Chief officer or Master Mariner.
- HSE and /or Crewing shore-based exp is essential.
- Organized & attentive to detail. Computer literate and able to create professional reports, analyse data, write system documentation etc. with good command of English.
- Good interpersonal skills to manage crew onboard as well as to interact with team ashore.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word. Possess clear communication skills, good analytical ability, with a consistent focus on quality.
