Morgan McKinley is seeking a talented Merchant Sales Specialist, to meet, pitch and lead negotiations with assigned/prospected merchant leads to acquire and onboard them unto the client.
Our client is Southeast Asia’s Leading Online to Offline (O2O) Mobile Platform that provides safe, accessible and affordable transport, food, package, grocery delivery, mobile payment and financial services to millions of Southeast Asians.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and negotiate with prospective merchants to onboard them onto the company platform.
- Promote and advocate the company’s value proposition as the preferred choice for merchants.
- Liaise with merchants from diverse industries and establishments.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with merchants, ensuring their active participation in the company's merchant network.
- Address day-to-day merchant inquiries and oversee smooth onboarding processes.
- Ensure ongoing merchant engagement and satisfaction throughout their journey.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and services.
- Collaborate with the Account Management Team and other departments to maximize merchant value through cross-selling opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree or higher in business, economics, or related fields.
- 1-2 years of successful sales or business development experience.
- Background in retail or e-commerce is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for building rapport with merchants.
- Demonstrated creativity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Solid business acumen with a knack for analyzing sales data.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Passionate about driving business impact and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Accountable, responsible, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
