Responsibilities:
- Promote and oversee vessels’ health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure vessels are operationally ready for voyages and tasks.
- Coordinate and manage audits and inspections mandated by the recognized organization (RO) – ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
- Organize and oversee vetting inspections, including submissions to the OCIMF SIRE online platform.
- Supervise navigational aspects, approving passage plans, and conducting navigation audits.
- Ensure compliance with requirements from terminals, operators, oil majors, and charterers.
- Manage Flag State and Port State matters effectively.
- Maintain updated Q88 and HVPQ documentation.
- Provide guidance on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Monitor, review, and update the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
- Offer guidance and information to vessels on compliance matters.
- Provide crew competency and discipline support, including training and enforcement.
- Assist with queries regarding vessels’ capabilities and performances.
- Act as a member of the company’s emergency response team.
- Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Seagoing experience as a Master (minimum CoC class 1 or 2), or at least 2 years of shore experience related to safety, health, and environmental management and compliance for product, oil and, chemical tankers.
- Knowledgeable about international and local maritime regulations and requirements.
- Demonstrates strong integrity and professionalism.
