This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to develop strategic partnerships with key players in the relevant industry segments (in both the commercial & public sectors) to drive key programmes, projects and initiatives. This entails working closely with both internal stakeholders as well. It will sharpen your competency in developing and executing meaningful partnership propositions, integrating partnerships into our client organisation's holistic programmes, marketing communications & precision public health efforts.
Our client's Corporate and Industry Partnerships Division has the unique opportunity to create and build long-lasting relationships with our partners, and to cultivate these partnerships to develop mutually beneficial collaborations that will support our client organisation’s programmes, strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
To be effective, you have to be a dynamic team player. You must possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to see win-win opportunities with partners. You must also possess strong project execution skills, be able to effect change, garner resources, and manage people and projects (without direct control of people or resources). You will:-
- Support the relevant team members, including those in the Physical Activity partnerships team, to build strategic & sustainable partnerships, identify partnership opportunities, and develop workflows and processes to support these initiatives.
- Pitch and market these partnership initiatives; bridging partner and our client organisation’s interest to reach mutually beneficial partnerships agreement.
- Execute and implement the partnership programme through working with internal stakeholders and external partners; conduct end-of-programme review with customers, and thereafter providing feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Constantly improve the processes of partnership acquisition, selling, development, implementation and retention, and uphold professionalism and partnership satisfaction.
- Develop close working relationship with internal stakeholders to engage, identify and support partnership opportunities.
- Actively participate in execution of key initiatives and projects, proactive in one’s responsibilities, so as to launch initiatives successfully and on time.
- Actively maintain and enhance relationships with partners.
- Strategize and plan to oversee the implementation of multi-agency collaboration projects with other government bodies and ministries.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or other related discipline.
- About 10 years of relevant working experience (preferably at middle-management level) in partnerships management, customer engagement (B2B or B2C), business development, sales or marketing-related organisation, with proven track record of building strong customer and stakeholder relationships at various levels.
- About 3 years of experience in managing teams, and proven record in guiding them to execute mid to large scale programmes and initiatives.
- Good leadership and teamwork to engage, motivate and work with team members.
- Relevant hands-on operational leadership experience in project and team management.
- Proven track record in successfully developing, implementing, and executing partnership programmes or initiatives, with a good understanding of the underlying economics of managing such programmes.
- Demonstrated competency in development of partnership proposal (includes ideation), operations planning, execution and management of project launches.
- Strategic mind-set, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organisation and political savviness to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
- High level of creativity, savviness, resourcefulness and be results-oriented.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Bilingual capability will be an added advantage.
