As we continue to expand our presence across Asia, we are seeking for dynamic Travel Retail Sales and Operations Manager to lead brand development in key markets.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
The TR sales and operations Manager will report directly to the founder and CEO of the business and will work alongside the key positions of the senior management team, and head of supply chain to spearhead the development of sales, distribution expansion and operational excellence.
The main tasks of the Head of operations include:
Drive like for like sales growth, operational excellence and P&L performance for wholesale and duty-free operations
- Control P&L for the designated region, meticulously managing financial aspects of the business.
- Lead and develop Maison 21G sales across Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Macau and future locations in TR and with distributors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of your sales strategies.
- Design and implement an annual sales plan and animation plan to drive sales at each point of sale (POS). Prepare budgets and set annual sales targets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Recruit and animate BA for each POS, put incentives in place.
- Participate in trade marketing initiatives and PLV design for the brand in each market. Work collaboratively with the HQ marketing team to introduce seasonal products aligned with each retailer, market preferences and key dates (CNY, Valentines, Mother's day, Christmas, 11.11…). Support MKT to define pricing and assortment strategy and align brand image strategies providing insights from granular sales performance analysis
- Improve forecasting and planning cycles together with supply chain, finance and Marketing
- Validate and enforce compliance with provided brand guidelines across all retail channels.
Manage relationships with third-party retailers, duty-free operators and distributors
- Conduct regular business reviews to drive performance improvement and corrective action planning to drive sales with each retailer and counters.
- Foster closed relationships with key decision-makers in each group (DFS, Shilla, CDFG, Dufry...) to strengthen our brand's presence and push our presence.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with our distributors, retailers and duty-free operators, ensuring alignment with Maison 21G's brand guidelines and profitability objectives.
- Contribute to the future expansion of our network with new retailers and distributors.
- Support the CEO to drive Maison 21G expansion.
- Manage planning and execution of new openings
Lead and animate on the field our sales team/ BA
- Directly lead and engage with them on the field, fostering a dynamic and productive work environment. Responsibilities include recruiting, organizing training sessions, and motivating Beauty Advisors (BAs) to ensure their alignment with the brand's standards and sales targets.
- Provide leadership, motivation, incentives plan, guidance, and ongoing training to ensure the sales teams meet and exceed performance targets
- Enhance Maison 21G's brand image through suggestion of effective visual merchandising, grooming standards, and POS activities.
- Competitor Analysis and Reporting: Provide comprehensive marketing reports on competitors to HQ, offering insights and recommendations for maintaining a competitive edge on our product offer and brand awareness.
Past experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in travel retail as an area sales manager, specifically within beauty brands or the luxury sector (make up, skin care or Perfumery). Experience should encompass working with retailers and in duty-free environments for beauty brands,
- Market Expertise: A deep understanding of the Asian market is essential, with particular emphasis on Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This includes knowledge of consumer behaviour, market trends, and regulatory environments in these regions.
- Sales Excellence: An exceptional salesperson with a strong drive for achieving and surpassing sales targets and performance metrics. Demonstrated ability to thrive in competitive environments and achieve results.
- Communication and Relationship Management: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to network effectively. Must have experience in maintaining close relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and motivate Beauty Advisors (BAs), fostering a positive and result-oriented team environment.
- Financial Acumen: Solid experience in financial management, including budget control, planning, and profit and loss (P&L) management. Ability to make informed decisions that drive financial success and operational efficiency.

Salary: 10K SGD + incentive on sales
