RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, design and develop new and/or improved industrial sensors that meet customer requirements.
- Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, function improvements, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities.
- Create and manage design proposals, design specifications, engineering drawings, and other required technical documents.
- Perform FMEA, DFM, tolerance and other analysis prior to mass production.
- Create test plan and perform mechanical verification and support product verification and validation to fulfil product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to sustain the product lifecycle including customer complaints, tooling renewal, failure analysis, etc.
- Liaising with Headquarter on the technical support and technology transfer.
- Verify regulatory compliance (UL, CE, RoHS/REACH, etc.) with support from approval department.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge in design plastic moulding, metal injection moulding, sheet metal
- fabrication and other manufacturing technologies.
- Good knowledge in mechanics, design theory, material science, inter-part bonding
- (plastic-to-plastic, metalto-plastic, etc.).
- Strong 2D & 3D CAD skills, SolidWorks is preferred.
- Knowledge of optics will be an added value.
- Open-minded, team player, creative, self-driven and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position.
