Functional Area
PPC is responsible for all planning activities related to airframe maintenance projects at FSA. Main activities are preparation of the work packages, provision of direct support to the production area, master scheduling, manpower planning and working with the commercial department on accurate forecasting.
Role Purpose
The Production Planning Engineer role is key for completion of each airframe maintenance project. Within this role you are directly supporting the production team and enabling them to efficiently perform their work according to our and various national quality standards.
The Production Planning Engineer is a key point of contact for our customers and ensures provision of accurate and frequent information to FSA’s customers in a timely matter.
As a Production Planning Engineer, you will also work in close collaboration with the engineers, sales force as well as the daily operational management team.
As a result, you are a core contributor to the effective and efficient completion of each heavy maintenance check.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
As a Production Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning activities before and during a heavy maintenance check. These responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Generation of material request in our ERP system
- Analysing the projects outstanding work and providing project status reports
- Monitoring and controlling the task card flow, both the physical as well as the digital flow
- Handling outside service requests
- Composition and control of project plans
- Preparation of final reports
- Liaison with technical support departments of the OEMs
- Facilitation of daily progress meetings
- Attend meetings with customer to provide latest project update
- Work and support production department continuously on requirement of additional material and other project information
- Participation in lean projects
- Responding on customer requests
- Coordination of aircraft parts robbing process
- Correctly archiving of the project documentation
Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an airframe maintenance environment
- Experience in base maintenance is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production planning
- Solid computer skills
- Able to read technical drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical skills, including data analysis interpretation
- The ability to define and implement actionable plans
- Team player and strong interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, assertive, and proactive personality
