Summary
We seek a passionate and experienced Retail Marketing & Sustainability Manager to elevate our retail operations, champion sustainable practices, and enhance our brand image. This dynamic role blends hands-on retail management with a strategic sustainability focus. You'll oversee customer-facing operations while guiding the company towards greener practices through research, recommendations, and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Retail Operations Management
· Oversee daily retail store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
· Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing retail team.
· Develop and implement staff schedules (rosters) to optimize workforce coverage.
· Maintain store aesthetics, visual merchandising, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Address customer queries and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
Sustainability Leadership
· Design and implement a sustainability roadmap for the company, outlining goals and strategies.
· Research and identify sustainable solutions applicable to the retail environment (e.g., energy efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable materials).
· Recommend sustainability initiatives to management, providing cost-benefit analysis and impact projections.
· Build relationships with sustainability vendors, partners, and organizations.
· Track and measure the effectiveness of sustainability programs, reporting progress to management.
Marketing Support
· Collaborate with the marketing to develop campaigns that highlight the company's sustainability commitments.
· Oversee in-store marketing and promotional materials.
· Contribute to the overall brand image and messaging of the company.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a retail management role.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability principles and practices.
· Proven success in staff development, team building, and leadership.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
