Job Description
- Prepare vessel for SIRE/BIRE inspectionsEnsuring HSE implementation throughout the fleet
- Ensuring vessel Port clearance are completed within the time frame
- Track, manage and ensure the vessel operating costs are within the approved vessel’s OPEX budget
- Assist and plan the budget and timeline, and execute drydock / special survey, for LSA/FFA, Medical supplies or any deck maintenance as required in accordance to company’s IMS and keep within the approved CAPEX budget.
- Marine Supt to ensure all soft copies of class, flag and other vessel documents are uploaded into the company shared drive. And all hard copies are well documented and accounted for.
- Ensure vessel trading certifications and information like Q88 is always maintained up to date
- Ensure all operations are executed in full compliance with the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS), rules and regulations within the countries that we operate as well as complying with our policies
- Ensure the vessel has sufficient and appropriate deck critical spare parts/inventory to minimise uninterrupted operation
- Publishing safety memo once a month to the fleet
- Read and monitor any safety card submitted
- Responsible for deck crew trainings
- To assist to all client and statutory inspections and audits, including proper closure of any punch list on the agreed timeline
- Ensuring all PR request from vessel are vetted and allocating the GL code as required.
Requirement
- Singaporean or PR Diploma holder in Maritime or its equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in vessel management
- Preferably sailing experience with relevant Certificate of competency 3 or below
- Sailing experience on Chemical or Gas tanker preferred
- Proactive, responsible, reliable, cost conscious and a good team player.
- Good command in spoken and written English; conversant in spoken Bahasa Indonesia is a helpful working tool.
