Job Description: Receptionist

Position Title: Receptionist
Location: Maris Stella High School (Primary), 80 Bartley Road, Singapore 539786

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reception Duties:Manage incoming telephone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
    Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors, providing information and support as needed.
    Coordinate goods delivery on behalf of staff, ensuring timely receipt and distribution.
  2. General Administrative Support:Attend to unwell or injured students in the sick bay, providing basic first aid and assistance.
    Assist with student departures during school hours, maintaining accurate records.
    Manage lost and found items and money, following established protocols.
    Support administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and document dissemination.
    Ensure the reception area and sick bay maintain cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
  3. Additional Duties:Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
    Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in various tasks to support school operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' level certification or equivalent ESS Career Readiness Certificate (Operations).
  • Preferably holds a valid First Aid with Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification (overseas certifications must be validated by the National Resuscitation and First Aid Council).
  • Completion of validation process to be submitted with bid for consideration.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in reception work and/or general administration.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required due to the school's Special Assistance Plan (SAP) status.
  • Prior experience working in Primary schools is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries and interactions professionally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
