Job Responsibilities
- Preparation and implementation of Safety Program
- Develop, implement and review safe work procedures and Risk Assessment at project requirements
- Participate and involve in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 implementation and audit
- Establish work with the WSH team to establish WSH training matrix and programs for staffs
- Promote and conduct safety & environmental Awareness sessions to all Staff and workers regularly
- Ensure all work practices comply with company safety policy, all statutory legislation and requirements such as WSH act
- Assist in scheduling of HSE meetings such as committee, mass tool box etc
- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
- Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture
- Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection
- Prepare and submit weekly safety report as required by management and clients
- Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities.
- Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;
- Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/ dust/ smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. with the occupier of the construction site and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities;
- Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the occupier of the construction site accordingly;
- Report and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the occupier of the construction site once every monthly
- Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site.
- Conduct regular inspection to ensure safety & environmental matters are proper in place
- Evaluate WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps;
- Implement appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act;
- Propose corrective and preventive measures to address root cause of incident.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Diploma in Engineering or related with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction industry
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in WSH Officer relevant work in construction sector
- Highly prefer to have LTA experience
- Must possessed both WSHO and ECO licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Application
- Willing to travel to Tuas
