- Salary range: $4000 - $7000 (Depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Develop the cargo book within the Indian Ocean/Asia-Pacific region (spot and forward) and secure tonnage for position coverage.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Evaluate various opportunities, negotiate, and finalize charter parties.
- Manage risk exposure through FFA.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations department to ensure smooth voyage performance.
- Study and understand new trades and ports.
- Produce and submit performance reports and other assigned reports promptly and accurately.
Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an Operating firm.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Panamax trades.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail.
- Proactive nature, self-reliance, and ability to take ownership.
- Skill in building relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Panamax/kamsarmax experience would be highly preferred.
- Must have Bulk carrier experience.
- Relevant chartering experience.
