Job Description & Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that food is prepared and served according to national food safety standards and the Brand’s accepted quality standards.
  • Check daily mise-en-place, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food.
  • Plans and co-ordinates the activities of kitchen and operations personnel engaged in preparing and serving food.
  • Check the quality and quantity of raw material/food ingredients received from the suppliers.
  • Monitor the proper handling and storage of all produce so as to keep spoilage to a minimum.
  • Review the sale of dishes. Suggest and implement changes to the menu items according to customer’s demand and the availability of seasonal ingredients for supervisor’s approval.
  • Inspect and ensure that all operating equipment is maintained in good working conditions and raise repair and maintenance request when necessary.
  • Ensure that the work stations are clean and sanitized and the proper safety procedures are observed by all kitchen staff at all times.
  • Organize and ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Handle all kitchen equipment properly and maintaining in a good working condition
  • Support the team in recipe development; planning and creation of new dishes
  • Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are strictly adhered to statutory requirements
  • Report to the Executive Chef
  • Other duties as assigned by Management team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related Work Experience
  • Skilled at Tandoor, South Indian and North Indian Cuisines.
  • Proven food and beverage management experience
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Work in a diverse service environment
  • Speak Hindi, Telugu preferably
