SUMMARY:
- To proactively research, review and monitor all mileage that is recorded and compare to the scheduled contracted mileage.
- Responsible for accurately recording and reviewing any mileage not covered and ensuring timely returns to the LTA.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
- To accurately record any mileage that is lost within the electronic mileage recording system.
- Responsible for undertaking a daily review of the mileage that has been covered and for accurately recording any mileage that has been lost.
- Responsible for reviewing and analysing daily, any mileage that has been lost, and for reviewing the reasons for the lost mileage.
- Responsible for verifying the reasons and codes for lost mileage ensuring that the codes accurately reflect the reasons, this will involve a review of Driver Log Cards and CFMS Control sheets.
- Responsible for investigating and reviewing reports detailing any ‘other deductible mileage’ and coding correctly to reflect lost mileage.
- Responsible for ensuring that any lost mileage, attributable to any pre planned Notice of Event, is coded accurately.
- Responsible for reviewing daily the LTA’s ‘notice of event blog’ to ensure that mileage lost as a result of unplanned events is accurately recorded.
- Review the Driver Log cards in relation to lost mileage to ascertain the reason and to code correctly. As part of the review of Log Cards identify to the Depot & Interchange Supervisors any poorly completed or incorrectly completed Log Cards to ensure Drivers are aware and can benefit from training and guidance.
- Responsible for analysing the reports of mileage driven on the day, to ensure that this corresponds to the contractual schedules.
- Proactively support the Depot Managers and particularly the CFMS Managers with any mileage related queries that arise.
- To undertake any additional reasonable duties at the request of your Line Manager.
- To undertake any training and development activities at the request of your Line Manager.
* Please note although this is not a shift role you may be asked to do occasional hours outside of the regular business day.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, CONDITIONS SPECIFICATION:
- Essential that you are able to demonstrate that you are an organised individual with an ability to meet deadlines.
- You will be a strong team player and understand the importance of getting others to help and assist when necessary.
- You will be computer literate and able to effectively use Excel and Word.
- You must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal as you will need to communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse workforce where English may not be their first language.
- Essential that you have a strong bias towards detail and accuracy.
- Ideally you will also demonstrate you have an effective approach to problem solving.
- Ideally you will have some experience and knowledge of the industry although training can be given.
