Microbiologist (Livestock /Agriculture/ food processing/ F&F)

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct research to find optimal solutions for various applications, documenting results in technical reports and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Develop chemical protocols, propose tests and methodologies to evaluate equipment and chemicals under different concentrations, including linearity, precision, accuracy, and efficacy.
  • Support the sales teams by participating in technical meetings with customers.
  • Promote PathoSans through seminars, webinars, lunch and learns, trade shows, conferences, and publications.
  • Assist the sales teams in designing trial plans and risk management processes for potential customers.
  • Provide support to conduct on-site customer evaluations, ensuring product suitability.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to modify existing technologies and incorporate PathoSans into customers' existing process lines.
  • Assist the sales teams in estimating costs for modifications.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus.
  • Handle regulatory and certification tasks, such as working with organizations like The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA), Singapore Food Agency (SFA), ENV (Ministry of Environment), Green Label, etc., and providing similar support to SEAsia offices.
  • Assist in assembling machines at customer premises, validating operation and processes (commissioning).
  • Stay updated on global ECA (ElectroChemically Activated) development and provide timely updates to management.
  • Travel may be required.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology Engineering, Biological Chemistry, or Food Science.
  • 5 years of practical experience in inactivating bacteria, viruses, yeast, and mold.
  • Understanding of applications in cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing chemistries in various industries, such as food processing, flavor and fragrance, building services, waste treatment, controlled environment agriculture, and livestock environment, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft CRM preferred.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and agile mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and management at all levels.
  • Humble, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of functioning in a remote working environment when required.
