Job Description:
- Develop and engineer mechatronic systems for Semiconductor equipment, with a focus on Motion Control and Mechatronics.
- Collaborate closely with other departments such as mechanics, electronics, and software within the company and across BESI development sites, fostering effective communication across disciplines and sites.
- Provide technical support (3rd level) to BESI production sites and customer sites in the field.
- Commission, qualify, and document mechatronics systems and Motion Control solutions.
- Assist in organizing and installing test equipment in the laboratory, and support other disciplines in conducting testing tasks.
- Participate in conceptual and architectural design work in collaboration with BESI development sites.
Education:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in mechatronics, control engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
Work Experience:
- Preferred: More than 3 years of work experience, although not an absolute requirement.
- Preferred: Work experience with Semiconductor equipment or similar industries.
Expertise and Methodology:
Must-Have:
- Control theory.
- Motion control.
- Sensorics and motors.
- Basic understanding of electronics.
- Tools: Matlab.
Nice to Have:
- Basic knowledge of software development, particularly in C++ (object-oriented programming).
- Mechanics and dynamics.
- Vision competencies.
Other Requirement Criteria:
- Intercultural competences due to the global setup of the company.
- High level of empowerment and assertiveness.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to Europe.
- Willingness to travel to production sites in Asia upon request.
