JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Lead a term of machinists to fulfil production output with focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Train machinists in proper procedures for editing CNC programs.
- Ensure CNC machinists have the appropriate qualifications and training, gauges, programs, drawings, inspection sheet for the next job scheduled on a machine.
- Work with the machinists and production management to reduce setup times, improve quality, increase production, and properly maintain machines.
- Responsible for directing CNC activities to meet the requirements of daily manufacturing schedule.
- Check product moulds or contour tracing when inspection personnel are not available.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min Nitec in Precision Engineering & Aerospace, ITE Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably 3 to 5 years experiences in setting up and operating CNC Milling Centre.
- Experience in setting up multi-axis CNC Milling Centre.
- Strong knowledge in CNC programming. Working experience Solid CAM is must.
- Understanding of tooling criteria, machining applications and process documentation.
- Good knowledge in set parameters (feed rate, speed, etc) according to materials and tools section to achieve optimum output.
- Good knowledge in interpreting mechanical drawing.
- Good communication skills and able to work as a team.
