Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of 3rd party engineering for the LQ and Technical Buildings on the FPSO, with sign-off authority for engineering and design deliverables.
- Day-to-day supervision of selected engineering contractor. Ensure quality and consistency across the designs with punctual delivery of Documents and Drawings.
- Coordinate peer reviews, design reviews, 3D Model reviews and squad check process, involving all Building Services related to the functionality of the buildings.
- Ensure overall technical integrity and safe design process are applied. Ensure design is fully compliant with latest yard regulations and standards.
- Management of engineering change process.
- Monitoring of overall progress of engineering work.
- Provide Construction Yard support.
- Coordinate engineering input to commissioning and testing.
- Ensure all Documentation and Certification is collated from all vendors.
- Coordinate all trades to complete all works to an acceptable Workmanship for award of Habitation Certificate.
Requirements
- Professional certification in Architectural Design and Building Construction. Professional membership or registration with an internationally recognized architectural board/association is highly advantageous.
- Above 30 years of Modular Design and Build experience in Oil & Gas/ Marine & Offshore industry with major Operators and EPCs.
- Above 30 years of experience in new build design and coordination of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Safety disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of team management experience, overseeing multidisciplinary teams globally comprising engineers, planners and contractors for different project stages including Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning, etc.
- Above 30 years of involvement in large-scale FPSO/ Offshore Platform/ Rig projects of up to and above USD 2 billion in value.
- Extensive experience in reviewing and making decisions related to schedule, budget and construction activities.
- Highly proficient in reviewing AutoCAD and 3D models and offering solutions to Design and Construction teams.
- Expert knowledge of Certifying Authority requirements and detailed understanding of Noise & Acoustic segregation, and inclusion of Helideck and Safety Design.
- Conversant with international standards and regulations e.g. ABS, DNV, Norsok, UK, Brazilian NR’s, NOPSEMA, Lloyds Regulations, SOLAS and MODU Code, ILO Codes. Familiarity with South American regulations and standards is highly advantageous.
