Floorball Coach

Job Description:

Position: Floorball CCA Instructor

Location: Zhangde Primary School, 51 Jalan Membina, Singapore 169485

Contract Period:

• Start Date: 1 Jul 2024 or date of issuance of Letter of Acceptance, whichever is later
• End Date: 30 Jun 2025
• Option Period: 1 Jul 2025 to 30 Jun 2026 (and annually thereafter)

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive CCA training programme in accordance with school objectives.
2. Coach Floorball players for Zonal and National Tournaments and other competitions.
3. Provide referee and competition-related services during tournaments.
4. Collaborate with the teacher-in-charge to foster students' passion for Floorball and instill positive values.
5. Conduct structured leadership and character-building training for players.
6. Deliver holistic progress reports for each player at the end of the year.
7. Establish rubrics for assessing players' skills attainment and conduct mid-year and year-end assessments.
8. Monitor attendance and track players' progress.
9. Organize friendly matches with other schools to provide additional practice opportunities.

Requirements:

1. All Instructors must be registered with the Ministry of Education as CCA Physical Sports Instructors and remain registered throughout the Contract Period.
2. Preferably possess minimum SG-Coach Level 1 (Theory) and/or SG-Coach Level 1 (Technical) or equivalent certification.
3. Preferably registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) for Floorball.
4. Must hold a valid first-aid certification with Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification. Overseas first-aid licenses must be validated by the National Resuscitation and First Aid Council.
5. Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience in Floorball.
6. Provide a list of current and past training conducted for similar programmes from 1 Jan 2021 to the closing date of this quotation.
7. If not a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, possess a valid Employment Pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower for the purposes of providing the Services under the Contract, valid throughout the Contract Period.

Estimated Training Hours:Base Period: 80.5 hours Option Period: 80.5 hours

Training Schedule:

• CCA Training: Every Friday morning (7:30 am – 9:00 am)
• Extra Practices: Mutual agreement between teacher-in-charge and instructor.

Target Group: P3 to P6 students

Total no. of Students: Estimated 40 students (up to 45 students)
