Purpose:
The product manager is the business owner of a specific product portfolio; he/she is responsible for the product lifecycle management and the profitability of the product portfolio.
Key tasks:
- Product lifecycle management for Semiconductor Packaging Materials:
-Drive activities to achieve revenue target of product portfolio.
-Define global product portfolio (roadmaps) + product positioning.
-Profitability analysis of product range
-Business cases for new product - market combinations
-Identifies customer and market needs, Voice of Customer (VoC)
-Manage obsolesces and part change notifications
- Leads Product Development Process of new products and modifications
- Leads business Case generation to support new product development to address market needs
- Determine pricing via market and customer’s willing-to-pay research
- Market intelligence: Analyze customer, market, competition and competing technologies.
- Preparation of the annual operating plan (budget) and strategic review plan:
- Align forecasted volumes and prices with sales teams globally
- Define strategy for COGS and profitability per product family, region and channel
- Work with R&D and engineering/NPI teams to develop & scale-up products in a timely manner
- Support the sales organizations in product information, launches and release procedures
- Work with the marketing communications on product launch campaigns and sales collaterals
- Attend exhibitions, technical conferences and industry related events to promote products
Responsible for:
- Revenue of product portfolio.
- Pricing and Profitability of the products and portfolio.
- Product portfolio roadmap.
- Market introduction plans.
- Product Development Process.
- Strategy development and management execution of corresponding plans
Your Profile:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Material Science
- MBA would be advantageous.
- At least 12 -15 years of work experience, with initial years in Engineering or R&D role progressing into commercial oriented responsibility such as product management.
- Extensive experience in semiconductor packaging assembly materials and process
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor market, customer requirements and trends
- Product management, branding and commercialization knowledge.
- Process oriented and results driven.
- Strong analytical, logical and rational reasoning
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Able to foster effective engagement and collaborations across diverse culture and time zones.
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong technical aptitude
Location:
- Office location in Singapore. Business travel of around 50% should be expected.
- Hybrid workplace type where incumbent can work on-site and off-site based on scheduled work arrangement.
