RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement key trading strategies that are aligned with organisational objectives.
- Develop the trading plan for Non-China and Non-India business.
- Develop and manage relationships with key contacts in the industry specifically in South East Asia and South Korea market.
- Generate new business by developing new client relationships
- Manage the trading program factoring in strengths and weaknesses of the team. Build, manage and support the team as necessary.
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our relationships with them
- Liaise between traffic teams and clients as necessary to ensure smooth transactions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Comprehensive understanding of product, INCO terms, contract terms, transaction flow, and bulk freight to be able to facilitate a smooth transaction.
- Approximately 5 – 7 years’ experience in Thermal coal industry at least 2 of which should have been in a trading role.
- Passion for sales and marketing with a proven track record of success.
- Good technical understanding of the Thermal Coal and related products and markets.
- Logical thinker with strong commercial acumen.
