Functional
- Performs in-depth key credit risks and mitigation analysis to determine feasibility of granting credit facilities and recommendation in clear and concise manner to maintain/improve loans asset quality.
- Provides general oversight of work processes and controls for the whole credit process including those arising (without limitation) from Business and Corporate Banking, Credit Administration, Loans Operations and Trade Operations
- Manages credit risks of borrowing portfolio of Business and Corporate Banking via ensuring timely completion of credit evaluation of periodic credit review and tracking on compliance of covenants/conditions subsequently imposed
- Provides guidance to Relationship Managers of Business and Corporate Banking to improve on credit quality and credit underwriting skills and ensure compliance with Credit Policies and regulatory guidelines
- Performs periodic review of Credit Policies and Credit Standard Operating Procedures and to communicate to all stakeholders on timely basis on approved key changes made
- Mentors and guides more junior and/or new team members
- Collaborates with other departments to streamline and/or enhance work processes to improve on productivity and effectiveness
- Ad hoc tasks/projects assigned by management from time to time
Qualification/ Education
- Preferably those with Bachelor of Accountancy, Bachelor of Banking & Finance, Bachelor of Economics or Bachelor of Business Administration
Experience/ Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in performing credit risk analysis of large corporations and/or small medium enterprises
- Preferably those who have at least 3 years of relevant experience covering the following industries:
- i) Automotive
- ii) Construction & Engineering
- iii) Food & Beverage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- A self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
