MRP Planner (Materials)

The MRP Planner is a key member of the manufacturing planning team.

The main task of the MRP Planner is to control demand loading for machine assembly production in Singapore and Malaysia plants.

This involves working with the Customer Service teams to schedule the material loading to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.

It also involves working with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure material availability as required by the build plan.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation and change of production orders to the Singapore plant, overview and guidance for the Malaysia plant to undertake the same activity.
  • Regular communication with counterparts in overseas plants.
  • Production order materials fulfilment planning.
  • Customer orders conversion and change management planning.
  • Implement engineering changes of materials for production.
  • Inventory control and monitoring to ensure material availability for the build plan.
  • Coordinate the demand planning requirement with Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


Minimum requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Studies, Logistics or similar field
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong working experience with planning through SAP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong business administration skills and detailed SAP knowledge in a planning context.
  • Able to adapt to changes in ramp up and ramp down volume scenarios.
  • Able to contribute clearly and accurately to meetings on material planning.
  • Able to work and communicate clearly with global colleagues
  • Have a strong eye for detail and be able to diligently apply themselves in a high paced manufacturing environment.
