The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for the position of Project Manager.
Project management responsibilities include managing the identification, development and promotion of standards meeting key requirements set by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG). These include supporting standards committees under the management of ERI@N in their standard development and promotion work to ensure timely and successful delivery of new and reviewed standards. The Project Manager should have a background in business skills, project management, budgeting, analysis and stakeholder management. Familiarity with key technologies such as power systems, electronics, solar PV, battery systems and electrification as well as understanding of commercialization is an advantage. The Project Manager must be detail oriented, able to multitask and demonstrate the ability to be intervene decisively and proactively.
Key Responsibilities:
Standards development
- Support standards committees to identify key areas for standards development from FY 2024 to FY 2026 which includes meetings with key stakeholders and preparing new work proposals.
- Support standards committees to develop standards within the timelines and quality requirements set by EnterpriseSG and the industry. These will include managing the preparations for meetings, capturing key comments, discussions and edits, conducting public consultations, addressing public comments, preparing draft standards for publications.
- Support the standards committee leaders in managing key stakeholders within the committee and industry with aim to build consensus and address standards implementation issues.
- Support participation of standards partners in international standardization including balloting, international meetings and hosting ISO/IEC TC meetings in Singapore.
Standards promotion
- Work with standards committees and EnterpriseSG to plan and execute standards promotions events targeting key stakeholders such as industry, government agencies and regulators, research bodies and the public. This could include standards launches, case studies, seminars and workshops. The PM is also expected to develop suitable presentation materials for these events.
- Work with standards committees and EnterpriseSG on verification studies to quantitatively evaluate the adoption of standards by key stakeholders.
SDO administration
- Assist Head, SDO and colleagues to manage the SDO budget to ensure budget marksmanship are met.
- Ensure procurement guidelines for EnterpriseSG and NTU are complied with.
- Assist Head, SDO in preparation of SDO progress reports to EnterpriseSG, the Singapore Standards Council and ERI@N management.
- Assist Head, SDO in audits concerning the operations and financial issues of the SDO.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Electrical / Computer / Mathematics/ Physics
- Min. Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Working Knowledge in Agile Project Delivery
- Working Knowledge in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Power point, SharePoint
- Experience within the utility or energy and power system industry is a strong advantage
- Excellent Stakeholder management
- Experience in adopting or implementing standards
- Experience in Interactive Project Management tools like Click up, JIRA.
- Experience in document management tools like SharePoint
- Experience in R&D cross-functional New Product/Technology Introduction (NPI/NTI) programs & commercialization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- An effective and efficient team player with good attitude and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated for documentation maintenance and management
