Job Objectives
The potential candidate will join Job Scheduling or the OJS team, responsible for running day-to-day control and management of jobs scheduling using BMC Control - M job scheduling tool in our Data Centre which runs across multi-platform systems like Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX, WinNT, etc, running Production and Testing/Development environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and setup Job flow in Control-M across multi-platform systems (Mainframe, AS/400, Unix, Windows)
• Check daily job scheduled and liaise with Control-M Admin team on incidents and problems related to Control-M
• Liaise with teams on batch job setup requirements and also work with Business units on authorized adhoc requests
• Assist in troubleshooting problems related to Control-M upon escalation
• Provide support to ensure quality and stable environment to our clients
• Create support documentation to reduce meantime to resolve issues
• Flexibility and availability to work for production support during early morning/late eve/ night hours and weekends
Key Requirements
• Minimum Degree in IT from a recognized polytechnic/institution with 3-5 years of working experience in relevant work area.
• Experience working on Control M Job Processing; preferably Version 8/9
• Experience in using Control-M utilities for AS400, Mainframe, Open system (Unix and Windows) platform.
• Good communication and collaboration skills working with Operations/Technical/Production support teams.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite of products.
• Good Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Operations support and monitoring.
• Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to extend work on weekends as and when required.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
