Description
As a Junior Cutting Tool Engineer, you'll play a vital role in supporting the engineering team by assisting in CAD design, CNC programming, and production work order management. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to the efficient delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Your day-to-day work will involve collaborating with senior engineers, learning new skills, and ensuring the accuracy and organization of work order documents. Your objectives will include mastering CAD software, gaining proficiency in CNC programming, and supporting the timely completion of production tasks.
Tasks
CAD Design Support:
- Assist in creating product engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Work closely with senior engineers to ensure accuracy and quality in design outputs.
CNC Programming Assistance:
- Learn to generate CNC machine programs using specialized software (ToolStudio) under supervision.
- Support in optimizing programs to enhance machining efficiency and product quality.
Work Order Management:
- Aid in the preparation and management of production work orders to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure all work order documents are accurately maintained and organized.
Housekeeping and Documentation:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work order documents, SOPs, and Certificates of Compliance.
- Assist in recording and storing production data for analysis by the Engineering Manager.
Ad-hoc Duties:
- Embrace opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and learn new skills as they arise.
- Contribute positively to team collaboration and overall departmental objectives.
