Job Overview
The Process Engineer helps in the technical processes of the Production Department. He/She ensures that the Processes and Methodology within the Production Department is technically sound and cost efficient.
He/She analyses Production and Relevant External Data for the Process Engineer to come up with New Strategies to Raise the Efficiency of Operations and Processes in the department. These include Assessing Viability of New Machinery, Introduction of more efficient tooling and Optimisation of important Production Parameters. He also collaborates with other departments such as QC/QA and Planning in Turntech Precision to ensure the Organisation’s KPIs are met.
Most importantly, he/she also is hungry to learn to get up to speed with his/her peers. He/She should also be a team player with the hard and soft skills to direct and motivate his/her teammates to reach production goals.
In this role, we hope to nurture leadership qualities to take charge and ownership of continuous improvement initiatives to further enhance the effectiveness of his/her department.
What your day-to-day will look like (EXPECTED TO PICK UP):
- Assessing Project and Resource Requirements
- Determining Production Quality Control Standards
- Overseeing all Technical Processes
- Organising the Repair and Routine Maintenance of Production Equipment
- Organising Relevant Training Sessions
- Study Energy usage patterns and find ways to save energy
- Assessment of New Methods of Production
- Assessment of New Tooling to aid in Production
You will thrive if you have:
- Min. 1 year of relevant technical and engineering experience
- Bonus: Autolathe or CNC Turning experience
- Strong understanding of the importance on leveraging other people’s expertise
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and manage “dirty” data (missing or incomplete data sets)
- and produce actionable insights from the data to improve production efficiency
- Creative thinker with strong bias to action exhibiting a “can-do” attitude
- Leadership skills to go beyond the job scope and innovate based on business needs
- Strong team player who can be an active contributor to the leadership, sales, and product and other cross-functioning teams
- You understand the SME culture and can work autonomously in a flat and ad-hoc task-based organization
- Passion for Machining and Mechanical Systems (this industry is not for the faint of heart)
