Job Purpose:
Select Group is hiring for an individual to join our Accounts team as a General Ledger specialist as we continue to expand our business.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Responsible for full sets of accounts
- Responsible for preparation and timely submission of management accounts
- Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet schedule / quarterly GST submission
- Maintain journal entries and coordinate the monthly closing
- Liaise between outlets and relevant departments within Group to ensure that all queries and disputes are dealt with effectively and punctually
- Generate monthly financial and management reporting for business units, and ad-hoc side reporting
- Analysis of business performance in support of business initiatives & resources allocation
- Perform analysis and performance trend in relation to Business drivers, Revenue and Expenses
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiative that impact business
- Assist in handling other financial issues, e.g. annual statutory audit, tax filing etc.
Qualifications & experience
- Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or other related course
- Minimum 2-3 years of Accounting experience
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Good knowledge in Advanced Excel skills
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical, initiative and problem-solving skills
