The Star Alliance headquarters in Singapore, coordinates the global activities of the Alliance including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 member airlines.

Based in Singapore, the Manager Star Alliance Portfolio Management reports directly to the Senior Director, Membership and Portfolio Development, in the Corporate Strategy Business Unit.

Summary of the Opportunity

  • Support strategic vision definition and execute the roadmap for the product portfolio management in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Define target markets, customer audience segments, and product positioning strategies to drive market penetration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners define product requirements and business cases.
  • Work closely with product development teams to set product milestones, track progress, and address any issues or obstacles that may arise.
  • Continuously assess the performance of the product portfolio, including usage metrics, usage costs, and customer satisfaction, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Analyze product performance data, market trends, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions regarding product enhancements, updates, or discontinuations.
  • Support product owners on the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to end-of-life, including product launches, updates, and retirements.
  • Develop product roadmaps and lifecycle plans for each product in the portfolio, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with member airlines and other internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, product owners, and product development teams, to gain buy-in and support for portfolio initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on portfolio performance, key initiatives, and upcoming product launches.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the product portfolio, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in sales, in product management or related roles, with a track record of successfully managing product portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate with impact. able to communicate in a way that expresses passion for the work he/she does. Understands how to influence and negotiate outcomes. Speaks in a clear and credible manner.
  • Excellent collaboration, and project management skills.
