Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant role funded by Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Department of Medicine.

Appointments will be made on a yearly contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Purpose of the Post

We are seeking for a passionate, detail-oriented Research Assistant to aid our projects by participating in screening and recruitment of potential patients/healthy volunteers. You will be responsible for overall conduct of clinical research studies of the Principal Investigator (PI).


You will also work with the PI’s team to ensure that smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and clinical services. Ultimately, you will be responsible for managing multiple tasks (research-related and administrative-related), but understand when one is more important than another to complete it on time.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in the related field
  • Clinical experience and exposure to clinical settings is advantageous
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of research methods (is advantageous)
  • Ability to work under pressure and work independently
  • Excellent time management skills

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Assist Principal Investigator in research and administration
  • Subject recruitment
  • Documentation maintenance
  • DSRB/HSA submission reports
  • Research conduct and coordination
  • Maintain quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings
  • Assist other Principal Investigators in the Department
  • Preparation and presentation of research data slides

Other responsibilities:

  • Participate and assist on Administrative and Ad Hoc duties in the Department
