The Role
- To inspect, ensure meat is within acceptable standards, and proper storage of meat upon receiving
- To uphold standards in the meat department – ensure the freshness and quality of all meat on display are safe for consumption
- To perform daily tasks – weigh, pack, and display meat in the service case and multideck chiller.
- To perform routine cleaning and maintain cleanliness of workstation and equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- To provide service element – cut and prepare meat according to standards/customer’s specification
- To sustain new initiatives/concept initiated by commercial team, such as executing promotions
- To control known shrinkage effectively
- To support management to achieve the sales and nett profit target
About You
- Good team player
- Basic technical knowledge on Meat – cooking method, identification on various cuts
- Proper sharpening and handling technique
- Able to cut and process the various types of parent to child cuts
- Physical work require and able to carry loads up to 15kg
- Able to work on a rotating shift, including weekends & public holidays
