Position Overview:
The Network Engineer plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our internal data communications systems. This role involves strategic planning, designing, and implementing both local and wide-area networks, as well as maintaining and deploying LAN, WAN, and Wireless solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional business and IT teams is integral to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of our Global Network, including LAN, WAN, and Firewall activities.
- Collaborate closely with the US Senior Engineer to assess and implement enterprise-level tools.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements, managing initial response, resolution, and communication processes, with the escalation of critical issues as necessary.
- Work closely with operations teams in day-to-day activities.
- Develop process flows and documentation used in internal IT workflows.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma / Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a Network Engineering or related field.
- Preferred proficiency with Aruba networking technologies.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls is preferred.
- Experience with Wireless technology.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technology is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present a professional image when interacting with various stakeholders
- Team player, able to work on cross-functional teams, and eager to engage with third-party system technologies.
- Ability to provide technical support to internal and external customers, including explaining complex issues to non-technical individuals.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willing to travel for business to support Malaysia and Korea in addition to Singapore.
