Overview:
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible to ensure the implementation and setup of the system in Cloud and on-premise is in according to the project plan, ensure service availability, performance and a good security posture of the systems running in a secured system environment, in provisioning core infrastructure services of large system. The operational and maintenance tasks required need to be delivered in a timely, co-operative and professional manner together with the other infrastructure engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the system in cloud and on-premise environments in accordance with the project requirement and operation support specification.
- Manage full system stacks from the OS through the COTS applications packages and system security implemented in the cloud-based computing and as well on-premise environments.
- Monitor and analyse systems performance data, syslog, monitoring log, application log, to perform tunning of operating system (Linux and/or Windows) running in both cloud and on-premise environment.
- Identifying potential bottlenecks in applications’ package performance, troubleshoot and resolve Operating System and Application related incidents and issue according to customer’s processes.
- Manage the system patching, security hardening, secure connection, data secrecy implementation.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- Only Singaporean need to apply, it requires CAT-1 security clearance.
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems or related discipline with minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- At least 1.5 years technical hands-on experience on AWS Cloud and/or on-premise technical implementation of Windows and Linux system (or equivalent), and provide the requirement system support.
- Certification as an AWS or equivalent Cloud Computing or Cybersecurity System is preferred. Certification in Windows and/or Linux System is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge in AWS architecture, network infrastructure, Active Directory, Linux Servers; hands-on experience on OS patching, hardening, system security set up.
- Working knowledge and exposure in Identify and Access Management System will be given priority.
- Automation, scripting experience with Linux Scripting will be an advantage.
- Take initiative, upkeep responsilbilities and has a sense of urgency.
