Description:
- To be overall in-charge of the management and control of individual site team of Resident Engineer(s) and Resident Technical Officer(s) and ensure that there is satisfactory supervision provided.
- To monitor and control all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping
- and submitting record of works progress, variation works, materials, vessel movements, equipment at the Project Site(s), tests reports, inspections, provisional quantities, day works, attending meetings, writing and filing minutes of meetings and discussions, coordinating the Main Reclamation Contractor’s works with consultants (if any), Authorities/stakeholders and any external parties like neighbouring contractors and utility companies, monitoring the Main Reclamation Contractor’s schedules, etc. and submitting all reports to the Employer, Consultant,
- relevant Authorities and/or Stakeholders etc.
- To attend all site progress, technical, interface, variation, co-ordination, design/technical meetings and any other meetings To review & comment Drawings, Method Statement (MS), shop drawings, etc. and assist in variation order/claims, progress claim validation, etc.
- To review all Drawings and Specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before reclamation and its related works commence on the Project Site(s) and progressively throughout Time for Completion and any Extended Time for Completion.
- To supervise all related works to the Project which shall include but not limited to reclamation works, infilling works, sand rehandling works, dredging works, slope revetment works, construction of Eastern and Western Jetties, removal of metal anomalies and unexploded ordnances, survey works, soil improvement works, soil investigation works, instrumentation monitoring works, EMMP works, housekeeping works, auxiliary works etc
- To supervise all related works to Project which shall include the sand rehandling operation at the Employer’s Designated Sand Stockpile(s) which shall include but not limited to sand rehandling works, dredging works, survey works, sampling and testing, soil investigation works, EMMP works, housekeeping works, auxiliary works etc.
Qualification
- Minimally a Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board in the respective field of works below.
- Resident Engineers (REs) for both Land Works and Marine Works, the minimum experiences are as follows:
- The REs shall have at least five (5)* years of site supervisory experience with minimum two (2) years in land reclamation, marine construction or coastal development related projects, and accredited by IES/ACES as a RE
- Must be literate in English, proficient in writing minutes of meetings & reports and have a good knowledge to use computer, computer software, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software to keep track and monitor the Project.
- The candidate must be able to clear any internal security checks conducted by the Employer and/or Singapore Government.
- The candidate should possess a strong, mature and proven ability to organize, manage and motivate the site staff team and use sound judgment in relation to construction matters.
- REs must have good knowledge of the operation procedures for reclamation and/or marine related projects within Singapore Waters, particularly on dredgers, barges etc., knowledge on MPA’s rules and regulations.
