Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review freight rates from carriers to ensure competitiveness and optimal transportation solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to enhance cost savings and service quality.
- Participate in annual tenders and contribute to logistics cost reduction initiatives, supporting stable production and shipment.
- Evaluate carrier rates and propose optimal alternatives to business owners.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand user requirements and integrate them into the bidding process.
- Execute weekly payments accurately and ensure precision in monthly closings.
- Collaborate with the IT department to make modifications to the Global Bidding System and provide assistance for system-related issues.
- Compile and disseminate reports, market analyses, and other relevant materials as necessary.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
Requirements:
- Candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Logistics (Shipping Lines/NVOCC) or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum educational requirement is a Diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Attention to detail and meticulousness are necessary attributes.
- Strong time management skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
- Capability to handle desk-bound and routine tasks is necessary.
- Familiarity with INCO terms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
