Job Description

As a Global Road Logistics Manager Operational Excellence and Technology Asia Pacific (ASP), based out of Singapore, you will have a high impact at Kuehne + Nagel, by designing global technology products and programs in partnership with our regional business leaders and then managing them across multiple stages of development, implementation and improvement. You will focus on the rollout of strategic customers, carriers and operations focused solutions and systems (which include several products, tools and features) to enable value driven road freight and trucking operations. You will also scale up our existing capabilities, boost adoption and expand operational excellence, automation, innovation, prepare for future growth and improve efficiency and service capability for our ASP markets.


Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the technology strategy for Asia Pacific along with business unit leaders in the region and countries by creating the roadmaps and defining workable paths against clearly defined success criteria
  • Master our global Road Logistics technology blueprint applications and balance both ambassador and demand manager roles within a regional scope of ASP by leading the deployment of our new Transport Management System (TMS), its surrounding applications as well as its process and organizations model
  • Manage large-scale projects and programs from start to end including detailed project planning, gap analysis, solution design, testing, training, change management, launch preparation/execution and operational follow up while constantly striving for zero negative customer/business/result impact
  • Lead operational excellence and operational controlling for the entire ASP region, guide regional and local leaders towards process standardization, technology adoption, and leveraging our offshore shared service centers
  • Consistently challange the status quo and never rest with cannot dos, raise the bar by analyzing data, measuring the operational performances, and taking fact-based decisions to implement the best-in-class customer, carrier and employee experiences
  • Manage external and internal senior stakeholders across multiple departments and broad range of audiences on definition, progress, risks and change control. Actively link the management, business, and service engineering teams and support to ensure execution
  • Empower local process and systems experts, including training the trainers, creating instructive materials using various multimedia applications and supporting the countries during the change process on site
